Daku Chapter1Chapter 1: Fragile Dragon Wings

A crecent moon shines down on me as I sit on my ledge waiting for my hunger to end.  The sound of leaves draws my attention to my left. A buck is eating the fallen berries and acorns among the leaves.  I prepare myself for the attack.
I am the Hunter. I leap from the ledge silently and spead my wings.
My prey shall fall before me on my swift wings. The deer freezes in fear unable to move.
He shall feel pain for the last time as my talons pierce his flesh, he shall take his last breath as my jaws crush his throat.
The sun begins to rise as I finish eating my fill.  I fly back to my reasting place to bat
